The model walk

Every model should have a killer walk. Every model should know the difference in the pace and style of walk depending on the designer or brands image. The models walk has changed from generation to generation. In the 80’s the supermodels of that time walked differently then the runway models of today.Watch clips from different fashion show and study the different variations. You can find clips easily online. Posture is important, so stand up straight as if you are being pulled by a string from your head to the sky. Open up your shoulders and chest, now just breath, focus on your breathing without breaking the posture. Relax without breaking th posture.

If you take a look at different clips from fashion shows from all different eras, you will notice the elements all the models have in common in their walk. They all walk with confidence. Does it mean all models actually have confidence. Not at all. Many models have fake confidence or just arrogance. This can pump them up to be confident on the runway, a performance, but as I have stated in the previous pages fake confidence or arrogance can become negative and harmful to your own mental wellbeing. This type of confidence can make people mean and unkind. It’s not a pleasant way to be. Instead know why you are unique and what you can bring to your walk. Know that you have the right to be empowered. By owning the walk it will look and become effortless and natural.

An effortless and natural walk is very important for a model. Models will be dressed in all types of fashion which are anything but comfortable. However, it is your job to make all the outfits seem to fit comfortably, easy to maneuver and make the viewer feel you are gliding across the runway angelic, empowered, and fabulous.

Fashion Week

New York fashion week just passed and next is Paris fashion week than Tokyo fashion week. Every year, every season, the fashion scene changes. If you’re not in it, it may pass you by quickly and you will be out-dated. Check articles and magazines for news and pictures from the fashion shows.

Michael Kors, Organic by John Patrick and Rodarte were my favorites from the view-point of a model. Michael Kors’s jumpsuit would be perfect to show case a confident model and make her body appear long and lean. Organic by John Patrick was just enough elegance and natural. Rodarte evoked a feeling of pure innocence and that style is perfect for the young model.

By keeping updated on the fashion scene, you will get a sence of your own style. Playing around with different ideas and creating your own style is necessary for a model. Many top models became known for their own unique fashion style. What is yours?

Organic products on a budget

Organic products are the best to maintaining perfect skin. The less chemicals you put in and on your body the less your body will prematurely age. Organic products can be difficult to purchase if you are on a budget since most organic products are a lot more expensive than non organic products. However, using organic products will save you money in the long run. A healthier life style equals a healthier future which means less money spent on the doctor. Always check for a sale to buy at best price. Here are some organic products which are affordable to substitute:

Trader Joes Organic wine – $5

Jason’s Organic Pure Beauty Oil – $6.99

Alba Botanica Organic body Oil – $8.99

When shopping for Organic produce, an affordable price may be hard to find at the grocery store. Below is a list of vegetables and fruits which can be found grown Heirloom. Heirloom vegetables are mostly conceived and grown Organically.

Acorn Squash
Anaheim Chili
Bibb Lettuce
Broccoli
Butternut Squash
Wonder Pepper
Cayenne
Cilantro
Cucumber
Gold Sweet Corn
Early Jersey Cabbage
Eggplant
Flat Leaf Italian Parsley

Red Core Carrot
Red Onion
Red Romaine Lettuce
Roma Tomato
Ruby Red Lettuce
Scallion
Snap Peas
Spinach
Swiss Chard

Zuccini

The best place to purchase Organic produce will probably be you local organic farm. Many times if you buy directly from the farm you will get a great deal, some as low as a box full of Organic nutritional Veggies which can last you a week for $15. If for some reason there is no Organic farm anywhere near you, another choice would be to grow your own vegetables. Growing Heirloom is usually easier as they can  reproduce themselves.

Skin care

There’s so many skin care products out there, it’s hard to know which ones to buy. Do any of them really work? I’ve tried hundreds of products and most  of the time I couldn’t tell any difference or change in my skins condition. However there were a few that stood out to me which had quick results.

I recommend body shops Tea tree oil face wash. Tea tree oil is known to help with pimples and acne. I’ve tried a lot of face wash but for me, this one reduced the appearance of pimples and made my skin overall feel great.

I’m also a huge fan of Jason’s Organic products. It’s mostly organic with natural ingredients and great for sensitive skin. It’s also more affordable than the competing organic products in stores. I like the Jason’s red line’s Red Clay Mask to draw out impurities in the skin and Jason’s Pure Beauty Oil to help rejuvenate and is a great moisturizer.

Organic and natural products are great because it’s simple, the less chemicals and toxins in and on your body the better. The environment a lone has so much toxins which cause damage to your skin. No need to add more.

Our environment also cause damage to our skin with the wind, cold, heat etc.. So we need to counter act the elements for our best skin condition. When our skin is dry we need to apply natural oil’s as a moisturizer which will in turn, if applied everyday when the skin is dry, reduce the development of fine lines, wrinkles and keep the skin young. When our skin is oily we need drying agents to dry the skin and protect it from absorbing all the impurities which cause acne.

First, wash face with body shops Tea tree oil face wash. This will dry the skin and protect it. Then apply Jason’s Organic Red Clay Mask to draw out the existing impurities in your skin. Your skin should feel dry yet clean. Once patting your face dry, apply a small amount of the Pure Beauty oil, rubbing it in all over your face, neck, heck anywhere you want. The Pure Beauty Oil moisturizer contains vitamines and gives it a healthy glow. No matter your skin type, dry, oily, or sensitive this routine will be great for most.
