NO TIME FOR THE STORE….
Make something for your mom. Get creative. You can make a wonderful card out of the materials you have lying around. Remember when you where a kid? You would make all types of cards and necklaces out of macaroni for your mom.
Cut out flower shapes and stick them on to your scratch paper. Color it in with bright colors. Draw cute doodles and write a sweet message to your mom in big font.
Go on to your computer and print out a picture you have of your mom and you. Stick it on to a colorful piece of paper. Make folds along the edges as if you are framing the picture. Write a nice message of Love and Happiness on the folds.
It’s ok you’re not Picasso, it’s ok it looks like a 3-year-old made it. You’ll always be your mom’s little prince and princess. Home-made gifts are always great to receive and may bring back fond memories!
Do a HOME-MADE FACIAL with you mom! If you have Coffee beans and unsweetened chocolate in your home you could whip up a Mother’s day COFFEE AND COCOA FACIAL perfect for Mother’s day!
Ingredients:
- 4 Tbsp. finely ground espresso or coffee beans (I use my own grinder, but already ground coffee and even instant coffee work, too)
- 4 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder (your basic Hersheys is perfect here)
- 8 Tbsp. dairy product. Choose whole milk, heavy cream, yogurt (must be unflavored!), almond milk or coconut milk. Use less dairy if you like a thicker paste. Substitutions are allowed: Try an egg instead of dairy if you are an egg mask lover, or substitute oils, such as olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil or almond oil if you have dehydrated skin. If using oils, halve the amount or it will be too runny.
- 2 Tbsp. honey (if you have dry skin) or lemon juice (if you have oily skin)
Preparation:
You can store the leftover paste in the refrigerator for several days.
Have a GREAT DAY with your MOM!
